Keiren joined the Sydney Male Choir as Musical Director in late 2016 and since that time has traveled extensively with the choir including a tour of New Zealand, the NSW south east, Tasmania and regional centres.

He studied piano at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music and, in 2015, completed a Masters degree in conducting. While at University he was involved variously as director/conductor/composer with numerous productions including The Threepenny Opera, The Arts Review, Much Ado About Nothing, Mozart’s Requiem, Malcolm Williamson’s English Eccentrics, Stravinsky’s Pulcinella Suite and Paul Stanhope’s Jetstream.

He has been musical director of Operanticcs and is currently engaged as assistant conductor by Pinchgut Opera.

He recently formed his own opera company, The Apollo Opera Collective. Their debut performance of Handel’s Ariodante played to packed houses in February 2018 and was enthusiastically received as an exciting new addition to Sydney’s opera scene with a very bright future.

Keiren has established an excellent working relationship with the Sydney Male Choir which was reflected in the outstanding repertoire and performance of the choir at the Town Hall Concert in September 2018 to an audience in excess of 1,000 and the Town Hall Concert in 2019 in conjunction with the Fort Street Vocal Chorale and Chamber Choir to a standing ovation.
